Serani's Olympic song for online gaming site

Singer, songwriter and producer Serani, has teamed up with PlayJamaica.com, the Caribbean's first gaming website to release a brand new single for the Olympic season.

The song, titled Top Runna, is the soundtrack of the track and field game which also bears the same name. With all the hype surrounding the London Olympics, PlayJamaica.com has created a uniquely 'Jamaican-ised' track racing game in an effort to highlight the global success of the Jamaican track team.

According to Serani, who is also an avid player of the game, when he was approached to be apart of the user-friendly game, he could not pass up the opportunity.

"When the idea was brought to me, I literally came up with the first line right on the spot. I already had the idea of the skeleton for the beat, and as I came up with the lyrics I made the beat same time. Everything he wanted in there I made sure I got it done," Serani said.

The game, which was created by Gregory Moore, Ryan Moore, and Chris Lawe, was officially launched on July 1, and has already been garnering international support. Fans from as far as Saudi Arabia, Asia and the United States have already fallen in love with the game.

The game also features athletes whose names bare a striking resemblance to members of Jamaica's Olympic team. The athletes in the game are called Lightening B, Afaasta P and Sally Ann F.

"We wanted to have some fun and be jovial about it and until we get proper endorsement from the Olympic team, we wanted to create characters of similar likeness to our Olympians," Gregory Moore said.

Serani told THE STAR that he considers himself one of the better players of the game.
"The game wicked. It's really good. None a dem nuh fast like me," he said.
