USA based singer Menny More 's "Menny's Book of Riddims" [Jun 2012]

It is with great pleasure that we present "Menny's Book of Riddims" a solo project from Menny More of the Easy Star All Stars!!!

Available now on on ITunes (iTunes) and Amazon (Amazon), "Menny's Book of Riddims" was a year in the making with over 40 musicians, artists and engineers contributing their talents and vibes.  

Menny More is an experienced musician, he has been touring the world over with the Easy Star All-Stars for the past 7 years; performing in over 30 countries on 6 continents. His musical versatility, stage presence and command of the crowd is truly impressive, as can be seen in this performance with the Easy Stars at the Przystanek Woodstock Festival 2009 (see here)

Menny emerged on the music scene in 1991 as DJ Ryder with the single "Longie Longie". He has since recorded for producers such as King Jammy, Don One, Bobby Digital and Steely and Clevie. He is the voice behind songs such as "Thunder Ball", "Hot Gal", "Jah Never Fail" and another collaboration with Mykal Rose called "A Day in the Life" with the Easy Star All Stars. His time has come to shine as an international reggae artist!

The concept of "Menny's Book of Riddims", per the title, is to showcase Menny More's amazing versatile singing skills over Big Riddims from the early days of Studo One all the way up to present day riddims from the likes of Lustre Kings and Rugged & Prez. Over 40 musicians, engineers, and artists have participated in the making of this album. We feel very blessed to have energies from the likes of; Mykal Rose, Philip Fraser, Soljie, Glover, Ben Bow, Peter Pan, the Easy Star All Stars, Sudakaya, and many others on the album!! In addition to writing the lyrics and singing lead on the tracks, Menny also sang most of his own backups (often times 8+ tracks worth), played various instruments and acted as musical director on the re-licks of classic riddims. His talents are far and wide!

It has been a year in the making and we've had a lot of buzz about the project with pre-releaesed material playing on radio stations in NY, FL, MD, JA, Italy, Switzerland and France. We have two videos released for the album: Gunman (with Mykal Rose) and Conquering Lion (with Philip Fraser - the first ever official music video for him in his 40+ year career - check out here), both which are playing on Jamaican TV now, and a third is being edited now, slated for release at the end of June: Jamaicuadorian (with Sudakaya from Ecuador). 

In December of last year, we put on two shows in Florida to promote Troback Sound's first album release "Traveling Man Riddim", produced by Jah Mikes Coburn of Reggae Vibes Productions Inc.; Menny More alongside legendary artist Courtney Melody and rising star Ginjah, backed by the Troback Sound Band; Peter Pan on keys, BenBow on drums, Elaina Reed on bass, Family Man Jr on guitar and Fudgey on the controls.
