Reggae singer Lazah Current has been working hard for a 'Betta Tomorrow'. He and his management team, the DJT Promotion Group, in association with Sunlight Production has been working to raise the awareness of domestic violence around the globe.
Hence, they have teamed with a charity group called Global Harmony in England that is on a mission to eradicate domestic violence globally.
The managing director, Ms Beth Haining, and co-founder for Jammin 4 Harmony, Tony Woodroffe, contacted DJT promotion group to coordinate with the artiste because they love his music and thought he would be a good artiste to help push the message.
Global Harmony is currently working in Africa (Ghana) on domestic violence and they plan to have Lazah Current travel to Ghana to perform and speak about issues relating to domestic violence. Lazah Current has also reached out to the local domestic violence chapter in Jamaica to lend his support.
Lazah Current continues to spread his message of peace and harmony through his music. He has been receiving lots of airplay especially on IRIE FM.
He was recently invited to perform at the Harlem Music Festival in New York City by André Robinson, executive producer of the festival, to pay tribute to Bob Marley. Lazah Current was the only reggae artiste to perform at the prestigious event. He received overwhelming support from the thousands of patrons who attended the event.
Lazah is currently focusing his attention on his upcoming back-to- school giveaway project in his community, Spring Village in St Catherine. He and his management team in association with sponsors such as: LIME, New Best Variety Wholesale and the local justice of peace Mrs Bailey in Spring Village, St Catherine, will be giving away free basic school supplies to children in the community today (August 31) at Luna's Enterprise and Hardware in Spring Village.
