Dancehall artistes Twin of Twins have come out in support of Mr Vegas during his relationship woes.
According to Patrick 'Curly Locks' Gaynor of the duo, persons
should be compassionate despite the elements of comedy involved in the
controversy.
"To some men that are laughing, it can happen to anyone of us. Wi
naah tek ourselves out of the fray. People should give him time to
grieve and stop acting like somebody's downfall is your joy. We can't
keep doing that. There are things that are comedic and people can laugh
about it, but we have to learn to be sensitive," Curly Locks said.
A hypocritical role
Vegas could have committed suicide and then many persons would have taken on a hypocritical role.
"If he had killed himself, you would have heard the same people
saying, 'Vegas was a good youth, RIP', 'Mr Vegas was the best', and we
would have had the biggest funeral in his support," he continued.
"Vegas made an important point. Some females tend to make the
situation all about them, but it's not about all women, it's about one b
... . So unnu can give him support, too, if you as a woman know that
you are not like that. Forgive the man. He is very angry right now, so
let him grieve," Curly Locks said.
Twin of Twins also had a stern warning for males who develop
relationships with women only on the basis of their physical appearance.
Realness and fakeness
"There is a thin line between realness and fakeness. Some men
tend to validate their importance based on material things and the women
see it. A man just needs to have respect for himself and women will be
with you regardless if you have money. Some women just love to say they
are pretty, but what is pretty when the internal is not the same? Men
need to stop seeing women as possession. Nuff man just want a 'hot
gyal', but what happen when yuh get some 'hot bun'?" he said.
Twin of Twins have also recorded a single called So Much Things To Say, which was released yesterday. The single is a social commentary about the 'Vegas saga', among other dancehall issues.
Here are some of the lines Curly Locks sang over the phone: "Tommy
Lee seh him a demon and mi know seh dat bad to/ but a blaspheme when
dem claim sey dem a God to/ unno fi bun some Rasta wey drop dem flag to
and a run dung Hennessy and all a run dung swag to/ If mi did see the

Twin of Twins are also working on Stir It Up
volume 10, which is set for a November release. They are also promoting a new collaboration with Jahvinci.
