Reggae/dancehall
producers Cashflow Records has signed 2011 Rising Stars winner Tash and
another young artiste called Fabian. Fabian was also a Rising Star
contestant in 2009; he entered the competition as part of a duo called
Moments.
According to Cashflow Records producer DJ Neil, the
choice to sign the young artistes was based on the judgement of Father
P, the CEO of Cashflow Records.
"Father P knew Fabian from his school because he was a student of
his. Fabian then introduced Tash to Father P and then they started
spending hours at the studio vibing. So Father P decided to make it
official by signing them. I totally agree because they are good singers
and have good vocals. I did couple of songs with them and it was good,"
DJ Neil said.
The record label also shot a music video for a collaborative single featuring the newly signed acts. The single is called It's In The Books.
The video was recently launched at Club Eras in New Kingston and was
attended by several recording artistes like D'Angel, G-Whizz, Raine
Seville, Formilla One, among others.
The video was directed and
edited by the image arm of Cashflow Records called XXtreme Arts.
According to Tash and Fabian, they are equally excited about their new camp and music video.
A great job
"I was amazed, I loved it! XXtreme Arts and Cashflow did a great job," Tash said.
"The video was amazing, its quality was great and the concept came out perfectly," Fabian added.
The video is expected to hit local television in high definition in the coming weeks.
"They are two great young talent and their video launch was a
huge success. I was very pleased with the end product. I want to say
thanks to the sponsors Ceez Dezinez, JDash Creative Lab, Hype TV,
Cashflow Records, Eskay Caterers, Urban Chic Unisex Salon, Club Eras and
Yardbeat," said Talisa Taylor, publicist for Cashflow Records.
Courtney Ferguson, creative director of Hype TV and CEO of Ceez
Dezinez, expressed delight to have been involved in sponsoring the
launch of the music video.
"Tash and Fabian are truly talented and In the Books, both the song and video are testaments to that. Ceez Dezinez was proud to be a part of such a great launch," he said.
In addition to signing the new
talent Cashflow Records now hosts a reality TV show on Hype TV called Cashflow Invasion.
