GREAT music, delicious food, and non-stop dancing was a fraction of the package offered at 12-to-12 held at Fort Clarence beach in Portmore, St Catherine, on Sunday.
The all-inclusive beach party was staged under the theme Celebrating Jamaica's 50th Independence.
By 7:00 pm, the venue was filled to its capacity but this did not prevent other patrons from 'rolling' in. At the turntables, sound system selectors from Bass Odyssey, Stone Love, Jamrock, and Renaissance along with radio DJ Kurt Riley kept patrons on a musical high throughout the evening's proceedings. Among the songs receiving numerous 'forwards' were Konshen and Darrio's Sidung, Aidonia's Tan Tuddy and RDX's Jump.
The bar attendants and line servers were kept busy all night as they served up tasty dishes and intoxicating drink mixes. Close to centrestage dozens of patrons formed a huge circle as the 12 to 12 promo girls had their undivided attention as they entertained with some of the latest dance moves.
Hours later, the party vibe reached its peak as dancehall artiste Konshens was invited to the stage. The artiste - along with members of his SubKonshus team - received a warm welcome by females, who screamed uncontrollably as they made their way towards the stage. The screams got even louder as he and Darrio hurled lyrics to their collaboration Sidung.
"Mi big breda de here [referring to his brother Delus] but I am going to call on my other big brothers to share the stage with us. Uno wa mi do that?" Konshens asked the audience.
Seconds later, he was joined on stage by Bounty Killer, Tarrus Riley, Chi Ching Ching, Munga Honorebel, Nitty Kutchie, and Voicemail, who all delivered their hottest dancehall tracks much to the delight of the crowd, who chanted along in approval.
