Gyptian holds the ladies - Delivers in Behind the Screen series

Music lovers were treated to a night of live entertainment on Tuesday night with another instalment of Usain Bolt Tracks and Records' Behind the Screen series. The headliner for the night was international reggae star, Gyptian.

Before Gyptian took to the stage, though, the Hard Drive Band kicked off the night's festivities with an instrumental rendition of Bob Marley's Redemption Song. The band's saxophonist was sensational, as he showcased his exceptional skill with the instrument.

The hostess for the night was none other than dancehall bombshell Stacious. The sexy songbird did a commendable job as MC and had the crowd engaged while she was onstage.

Gyptian had the crowd waiting in anticipation before taking the stage, but once he did all was seemingly forgiven. The artiste took to the stage donning what he described as his "sexy blue suit" and kicked off the main event with Nah Let Go.

Backed by the Hard Drive Band and a talented duo of backup singers, Gyptian had patrons - especially the ladies - on a musical high. The artiste defended reggae music, saying that the genre cannot die with the abundance of young talent it possesses, before segueing into a riveting performance of Serious Times.

The song sent patrons into a frenzy and the artiste was moved to 'pull up' the hit tune multiple times.
Gyptian shared the stage with a few other artistes during a short interlude which was well received by patrons. He was joined onstage by fellow GMC artistes Chi Ching Ching and Munga, among others.
The reggae superstar closed with his mega-hit single Hold Yuh and by this point had the ladies wrapped around his fingers.

Gyptian commanded a moderate crowd, which seemed to have enjoyed his energetic and well-delivered performance. The artiste also encouraged his local fans to show their support by going out and purchasing his albums.
