Richie Spice digs deep Behind The Screen

He is known as one of reggae music's most prolific singers and songwriters and, on Tuesday night, Richie Spice exhibited his unbridled talent and versatility.

The event, which was centred around the artiste's latest album - Soothing Sounds: Acoustic, saw Richie Spice performing a range of old and new songs.

Richie Spice blazed on to the stage with the song Free from his new album.

Although the venue was not packed to capacity as in previous weeks, Spice gave a memorable performance for an audience which included international superstar Shaggy, gospel artiste Omari, cricketer Chris Gayle, and Richie Spice's brother Spanner Banner.

Dressed in full white with etchings of red, green and gold, Richie Spice delivered hits such as Righteous Youths and More Life before launching into his more popular hits, including the World is a Cycle, Youths Dem Cold and The Way You're Living.

Richie Spice then went old school with his smash single Earth a Run Red, which propelled him to stardom in 2004.

Although he attempted to talk to the audience during his set, he was at times barely audible.

Drawing from his extensive catalogue of hits, Richie Spice also found favour with the audience for his singles Ano Me Dat, Brown Skin and Grooving My Girl.

His delivery of Ghetto Girl was met with deafening screams, and calls from the audience to 'pull up di tune' did not go unnoticed by Richie Spice.

Marijuana was also a massive hit with the audience, earning resounding applause.

Fans of the artiste were also able to buy Soothing Sounds: Acoustic at the event.
