Busy months ahead for Macka

Macka Diamond has been sizzling hot since the month of December, as her public feuds with Lady Saw and Spice have propelled her into the spotlight.

In themeantime, Macka's popular single Forty And Fabulous jumped several places to land at #8 on the HYPE TV Top 20 charts, while the controversial single, Kill The Black One, is creating a firestorm on the Internet, racking up more than 10,000 views on YouTube after only seven days. Another song, Mi Bless, on the Chase Mills Records-Pusha Yute Records imprint, is also generating a lot of airplay on IRIE, ZIP and HITZ.

"The hard work is finally paying off. Right now, selectors and radio announcers ah link me harder than before fi dubs and drops, everywhere the Kill theBlack One play, it mash up the place and the girls dem a walk out pon Mi Bless. Mi go Uptown Mondays, and the Kill the Black One play seven times, it play ah Nipples Tuesday, it get crazy money pull up over Waterhouse, Cash Money Wednesdays, the ting ah shot all over, every garrison ah request it," Macka Diamond said.

The diss song, which is directed at rival deejays Spice and Pamputtae, also got several forwards at the popular Magnum Container Satdazs event on Regent Street in Denham Town.

Macka Diamond also launched her book, Bun Him Part Two, the sequelof her popular debut novel, Bun Him, at Sangster's in Mall Plaza last week. She then did two book signings, one in New Kingston and the other in Montego Bay, St James.

She is booked to appear at GT Taylor's Christmas Xtravaganza and the highly anticipated Sting at the Jamworld Entertainment Centre, and in Guyana on a show called Dancehall Engagement on December 29.

"I am getting a lot of calls from promoters overseas, crazy emails ah come to me pon maccadiamondbookings@gmail.com so the whole 2013 looks promising," she said.

She will host her birthday party on January 12 at Waves Beach in Portmore, St Catherine. After that, she will jet out for a club show on January 18 in Florida. Other confirmed shows include a March 2 show in New Jersey.

"I have a string of dates lined up for February for the Macka Diamond-Stone Love tour with Geefus. I am getting a lot of calls about it. So right now, mi ah tek it to dem wicked inna the streets," she said.
