Reality TV series hits worldwide - Tommy Lee opens 'Celebz' season with controversy

Monday night television has changed and Europe, the United States and Canada have taken note.

The much-anticipated reality show 'Celebz' premiered on BOJTV, Flow TV Channel 100 and cable stations islandwide on Monday at 10 p.m.

The show, which is directed and produced by BOJTV in association with Super 'K' Studios, has promised to change how Jamaicans see celebrities and give insight into their world as never seen before.

Celebz will not only feature the life of Jamaican artistes but other entertainers, sports personalities, politicians, media personalities, businessmen, and those of influence from every sector.

Eye-opening premiere
 
The show's first episode featured dancehall sensation Tommy Lee Sparta and contained 'eye-opening' footage of the artiste as he spoke candidly about the demon image he so vividly and frequently portrays, along with comments about his rivalry with dancehall heavyweight Bounty Killer.

The controversial show aired for 30 minutes and premiered internationally via DC digital and Caribcast, the new technology, Roku on any television set via the Internet, as well as the BOJTV's page on Facebook.

According to Kern Spencer, head of Super K Studios, international companies have been clamouring for a piece of the pie.

"Since then [Monday], we have been getting requests from international companies to negotiate the sale of the programme for airing in the United States, Europe and Canada," said Spencer.

Reality TV has always intrigued audience worldwide and 'Celebz' has promised to keep audiences glued to television sets, as Jamaican 'Celebz' welcome them into their lives personally and professionally.
