According to the artiste and producer respectively, Make Me Feel has been one of the most popular songs on radio and in local parties, but it is yet to get its fair respect from persons who control local charts.
Make Me Feel has peaked on numerous charts in the Caribbean and has received over 200,000 views on YouTube and is the artiste's best seller on iTunes. Therefore the young artiste is demanding more respect.
"When I look on the charts I see so much songs that is not half as popular as Make Me Feel. Yet dem have a place there and not Make Me Feel? My song more popular than even number one songs and I don't think it's fair," the artiste told THE STAR.
According to Kalado, he has done enough ground work to get his name into the dancehall market, therefore whosoever controls the charts must be aware of his song.
Promoted well
"The song is promoted well. The females dem love the song, just type it in pon twitter and see how much times it pop up. There is no doubt in my mind that the song is a hit. A just the right people dem fi duh the right thing and give the song its fair share of respect on the charts," he said.
Dre Day, the producer of the single, who also made an appearance in the accompanying music video, confirmed that the song was doing well on iTunes and revealed that Make Me Feel was the most requested dancehall single in St Lucia and peaked at number one on their charts.
Kalado recently released a follow-up single to Make Me Feel called Bad Inna Bed. An accompanying music video for that song is currently available on YouTube.
Currently the number one songs on the most popular Jamaican charts are varied. The number one song on the Fiwi Choice chart is I Octane's Happy Time, for Entertainment Report the number one song is Macka Diamond's Dye Dye, while on E-Strip the number one song is Beenie Man and Mr Easy's Fly Away.
