Kafinal reaps success with new single 'Falling In Love'

Since its premiere on CHRY 105.5 FM in Canada on the DJ Wiz programme a few weeks ago, the song 'Falling in Love' by singer/actor Kafinal has been riding a wave of success in Canada.

Locally, the song has been receiving rotation on Hitz 92 FM, Irie FM and Fame FM.

Kafinal is quite upbeat about the song's success thus far. 'The song has been growing on people and I definitely love the buzz. The song has made the top 5 most requested playlist on Global Links radio and it has been a staple on Internet radio for a few weeks now," Kafinal said in a release to the media.

Comeback single

The romantic one-drop lovers rock tune is the comeback single for the artiste who made an impact on the charts in 2004 with Cooking Dat Pwile featuring Sambo.

Kafinal has matured as an artiste and performer since his first hit. Now living in Toronto, Canada, he has developed a strong following on the live performance circuit.

"The feedback to Falling in Love has been tremendous all over. I am getting calls from people in Jamaica, the Caribbean and even in the States. It's the feedback that gives any artiste the urge to continue on their musical path", said Kafinal.

Kafinal has a number of dates lined up in Canada to further promote his current musical treats. On the cards are private functions, including dinners and even parties.

To follow up on the success of Falling in Love, he is set to release the single I Will Always Love You Again, which was produced by Broad Yard Music. But before that single is released, he wants to give his current single enough room to grow.

In explaining his absence from the music scene, Kafinal said he had been honing his acting skills and focusing more on that art.

"I have been getting a lot of encouragement to continue on that path. People have been saying they miss the musical side of Kafinal and they love the new image. Some are even advising me to stay in that lane as opposed to the comedic, acting side of Kafinal", he said.

Kafinal recently performed at the Toronto International Jamaica Day Celebrations as well Grenada Day in Canada.
