No-Maddz set to rock Bolt's Tracks and Records

On Tuesday night, Usain Bolt's Tracks and Records will come alive with the unique dub poetry quartet, No-Maddz.

Spiced with an array of different music genres, infused with the spirit of Jamaican roots music, the group is sure to put on a good show.

No-Maddz was formed in 2000 and released their debut album The Trod in 2010. Consisting of members, Sheldon Shepherd, Everaldo Creary, Christopher Gordon, and O'Neil Peart, all members are recipients of the Prime Minister's Youth Award for Excellence in the field of Arts and Culture; the highest State award for youth in Jamaica.

When questioned as to what can be expected from their performance on Tuesday night, Gordon told The Gleaner that fans can expect the unexpected.

"Poo Puku Poo Puku Poo Puku Puku Poo, that is what they can expect! They can expect everything new, they can expect the unexpected. They can expect to leave feeling proud as a Jamaican, knowing that there is hope. It will be refreshing to the mind," Gordon said.

Known for poems such as Rise Above Profanity, Ganja Stain and Mountain Lion, No-Maddz' music is undoubtedly something new.

According to Gordon, patrons will definitely leave with a memorable experience.

"It's been a while since we performed for our fans here, but we are going to get out the blocks and deliver a good performance. A Usain Bolt place, so we definitely gonna give a good performance," he told The Gleaner.

No-Maddz also recently performed on International Night at Reggae Sumfest and delivered a stellar performance.
