Yendi Phillipps and Chino McGregor welcomes Baby Girl

Congratulations are in order for 2010 Miss Universe runner-up, Yendi Phillipps and Dancehall/Reggae star, Daniel ‘Chino’ McGregor after the popular couple welcomed their first child together over the weekend.

According to reports, Phillipps gave birth to a baby girl on September 21, with her new-born daughter weighing in at approximately 7lbs, 11 ounces. While the name of Phillipps’ baby has yet to be released, sources close to her boyfriend have revealed that they are ecstatic about the birth of their first child as couple while insisting that their new daughter is in great health.

“The baby is healthy and Yendi and Chino are doing fine, they are extremely happy,” one such source told online entertainment magazine, Urban Islandz.

This caps off a very interesting year for Yendi and Chino, who publicly disclosed their relationship and how their new bundle of joy came to be in April after Phillipps posted a picture of her pregnant belly on her official Facebook page with her boyfriend’s hand touching her stomach.

To make matters more intriguing, speculation emerged that Phillipps was now engaged to McGregor after the former Miss Jamaica World sported a new ring while appearing at her weekly co-hosting gig on Television Jamaica’s (TVJ) Smile Jamaica earlier this month. Phillipps has yet to publicly address this speculation while Chino denied the engagement when speaking to IRIE FM a few weeks ago.
