Former Magnum Kings and Queens of Dancehall competitor
Samantha 'Yabbalicious' Jones said she has evolved into mainstream music
and believes the future looks bright for her.
Jones, who hails from Central Village in St Catherine, said her
latest efforts in the studio include Freaky Man - a counteraction to Adijah 'Vybz Kartel' Palmer's Freaky Gyal.
The spirited entertainer said that the song is on the Brick Fence
Record label and is getting its fair share of playing where rotations
are concerned.
"I am now in the studio doing music as I am taking my own time to
build momentum. I have also matured now and am ready to take the next
step musically," Jones told The Star.
She told The Star that her musical talent was evident from a child growing up, however, she got
seriously involved in 2011.
"In school, it was mostly dancing andcheerleading, but this helped me to deal with the pressure that comes with being an artiste," she revealed.
In order to get recognition, Yabbalicious entered the 2011
(Magnum) competition and came second. She has not looked back since, and
believes she is simply poised for great things to happen.
