"I'm here for Rebel Salute, I just came for this. I did the first two with Rebel, so it's good to be coming back for (the show's) 20 years," Yoba said, as he spoke briefly with The Gleaner backstage.

Yoba spent a few minutes on stage after being introduced by MC Jenny Jenny, bringing greetings and even trying his hand at DJing a couple lines.

Yoba, who starred in New York Undercover, currently appears in the sci-fi drama series Alphas, where he plays the role of a former FBI special agent.

In addition to his several television roles, Yoba has also appeared in more than 20 movies, including Tyler Perry's Why Did I Get Married and Why Did I Get Married Too.

He was scheduled to leave Jamaica on Monday.
