Mightyful13 producer signs with VP Records

Producer of Mightyful13 Records, Fitzroy Francis, has announced that he has signed a two-year world-wide digital-distribution deal with internationally renowned music firm VP Records.

Through this deal, the project will be made available for purchase on major music websites worldwide.

This comes after Chrisinti's 36 Bullets on the label's 'Mighty In Battle' rhythm project went number one on several charts worldwide such as BBC3 County World Beat Reggae Top 10, Foundation Radio Network New York Top 30 Reggae Chart and New Jersey Reggae Top 5 music chart, to name a few.

The rhythm also features the resurgence of veteran reggae artiste Zanadu with Trade Winds, Andrew Bees, who is the current lead singer of Grammy-winning reggae group Black Uhuru, with Something Strange and New Life, which features Fragga Ranks and Eek-A-Mouse, among others.

Not much information was given about the conditions of the contract. However, Francis, a Jamaican now residing in New York, said he's pleased to have struck a deal with the iconic music company and said he's very optimistic about the future of the deal.

"The deal opens door for Mightyful13 and gives the label an opportunity to sell millions of units online. A lot of independent producers and labels put out their products but it is not being distributed. This deal gives me that kind of luxury," he said.

The 'Mighty In Battle' rhythm project is widely dubbed as 'the reconfiguration' of Reggae music, which aims to build the reggae music industry with an euphony of melodies. Other tracks on the 'Mighty In Battle' rhythm project are Angel, by Canadian songstress Jemini, Cyah Stop Yuh Happiness with Dan Fyah Beat and King Mee, and Mighty In Dub, by Candy Bless of Raw Moon Recordings.
