Fresh from his overseas stint and now back in Jamaica
recording a slew of new material, dancehall singjay Wada Blood shot the
video for his latest single Rastafari Way.
Despite the inclement weather that had been affecting the island,
that did very little to hinder the efforts of director David Sinclair
to execute his duties.
Braving the unpredictable condition, the video was shot
throughout the thoroughfares of Kingston and St Andrew with stops in
downtown Kingston, Barbican and a section of Gordon Town.
The video features cameos from several members of the camp,
including producer and younger sibling Joseph Reid. According to Wada,
the video aims to capture and exemplify the Rastafarian lifestyle and
hopes fans will be pleased with the final outcome.
He further explained that the project is slated for release in
approximately two weeks and will be debuted on the MGP Films imprint.
The single, his first official release since summer, has been
enjoying premium rotation on the local airwaves and is now available on
iTunes and other digital platforms.
While expanding his versatility experimenting with new genres, Wada's contemporary ballad One and Only,
with brother Andrew Blood, continues to show steady progress, racking
up a commendable 150,000 views via YouTube, and has become a staple on
the Kenyan airwaves.
Other upcoming projects include a collaboration with young brother Juju Blood.
