Riding a high with his hit Pretty Wine on the Chase Millz Records/Jah Snowcone label, Khago thrilled Tampa with a steady stream of dancehall hits at the Tropical Club in the Florida city recently.
Hundreds of dancehall fans came out to see Khago, and the VIP section was overflowing with hot, buxom babes dressed in tight-fitting skirts. The singjaywas in awesome form, showing great audience interaction as he called one girl onstage to give him an "up closeand personal" version of her own "pretty wine", and she gyrated her hips provocatively to the flute-happy Mercury rhythm while her girlfriends cheered her on.
"You are the sexiest Rasta I know," the saucy showstopper declared to titters of amusement from the crowd.
Huge number one
After she exited the stage, Khago stepped up things a notch with the rollicking Blood a Boil, the soulful Nah Mek Dem Change My Energy, and then he earned his first encore with Tax in My World.Khago returned to the stage to deliver his huge number- one song, Tun up Di Ting, and Nah Sell Out 1, Nah Sell Out 2, and the ever popular Love Stomach. The latter had a few girls screaming at his melodic voice and they began pulling urgently on the foot of his jeans and copping cheap feels until a smiling Khago had to pull himself from their voracious clutches.
One surprising highlight of the night was Khago's introduction of a new song in his set called Pushing Me Away on the 21st Hapilos label.Khago himself seemed surprised that the audience already knew the lyrics to this song, and he was forced to pull up the song several times as the females sang along.
Khago has already been booked for shows in Boston and New York within the next couple of weeks.
In the meantime, Khago's Pretty Wine song jumped two places to #18 on the HYPE TV Top 20 charts.
