Following a record 71 Lifeline Cards given out over the five auditions which were held in the 2012 Tastee Talent Trail series, 35 persons made it through to the Quest last Saturday at the Tastee Drive Thru in Portmore.
At the end of arguably the best display of talent in recent years, judges Alaine Laughton, Amelia 'Milk' Sewell and Oral Tracey worked overtime in selecting the Top 12 for this weekend's Reality Series in Montego Bay.
So high was the level of talent that a number of the contestants who were eliminated could have easily found themselves in the top 12 on another occasion.
A closer look at the finalists revealed eight singers, three deejays and a singjay.
The contest sponsored this year by Tastee, Pepsi, TVJ, FAME, Sparkles, T-shirt Express, Kosmo Car Rentals moves to the Reality Weekend starting this Friday, in Montego Bay and culminates with a show on Saturday, at the Tastee Depot, 105 Barnett Street at which two persons will be eliminated.
The lucky 12 still in the running for the December Grand Finals where a prize of $1 million awaits the winner, $500,000 goes to the second-place person and $150,000 for third place are; Singers Dacia Smith, Deandra Williamson, Kafi Beckford, Sarah Ramsey, Jermain Buford, Ozana Lindo, Jason Roberts, Renaldo Meikle D.J.'s Andre Thompson, Stephanie Smith, Anthony Clarke and Singjay Monique Campbell.
The semi-finals unfolds on Thursday, November 22, at the Tastee car park, Cross Roads, while the finals will be on Thursday, December 13, 2012, at the same venue. The TV series begins airing on Saturday, October 6, at 8:30 p.m., on TVJ.
