Portmore deejay Doza Medicine is pleased with the dancehall public's response to the video for his latest hit radio single, Pretty Lil Girl.
The single, produced by Flexx Rich Records, has been getting favourable airplay from Sun City Radio and HITZ, and now the video has been added to the rotation of television stations CVM, HYPE, RE TV, Swag, Links and MDTV.
"All wah a gwaan, the Pretty Lil Thing song is doing well, the video ah show hard...Because of the response, there are plans to drop a mixtape for the streets in a few weeks", Doza Medicine is quoted as saying in a release.
The release furthers stated that the former Portmore Empire deejay has been generating a lot of buzz in Caribbean markets since the start of the year.He is already booked for two shows in October in Trinidad.
"Mi ting tun up in Trinidad a way, right now, my management is talking to calypso artiste, Patrice Roberts, who wants to collaborate with me on a track. Plus I have two other soca riddims for other collaborations. The ting tun up, mi YouTube up and running, the people ah gi dem good comments, it's all good," he said.
Doza Medicine, whose real name is Andrew Marlon Cardoza, is known for the singles Fire Squeeze, Stay Focus on the Storytella Riddim and Sci Fi Guy single that appeared on the Empire Universe Second Chapter album that was released last year on iTunes.
He had been at the centre of a controversy last year when he voiced a single called Mi Lef for producer Ainsley 'Notnice' Morris. After that, Doza had publicised that members of the Gaza camp had been calling his phone in a threatening manner and complaining that he was "dissing the boss".
"Now, everything alright, me and Popcaan good, me and Tommy Lee good, right now, no animosity and passa passa, mi career bright so mi haffi a wear shades," Doza Medicine said.
