Kerwin Du Bois for perform at Arthur Guinness celebrations

TRINIDAD and Tobago's soca singer Kerwin Du Bois will be among the list of acts scheduled to perform at the Arthur Guinness celebrations at the National Indoors Sports Centre on Thursday.

"I've heard from my peers in the industry that Jamaica receives soca music with love. Jamaicans possess a vibe that's uncomparable to any other. My aim is to leave the fans pleased, giving all the bacchanal I can give and leaving them wanting more," Du Bois said.

The grand celebration is being put on by Guinness Jamaica in commemoration of the legacy of Arthur Guinness, founder of the stout. The event started in 2009 when the company celebrated its 250th anniversary.

Du Bois came to prominence in 1992 when he won Junior Calypso Monarch in addition to the Young Kings competition.

He has produced tracks for Bunji Garlin's Black Spaniard album and wrote and performed the 2004 hit Bubblenut with Machel Montano. He has also lent his expertise to Trinidad's dynamic foursome, H2O Phlo on a track entitled J'Ouvert.
