Two parties, one In2ition

InTrendsik promotions is gearing up to host the first staging of their event In2ition, which will be a double effect treat for partygoers. In2ition delves into two genres of Caribbean music at once, dancehall and soca.

According to senior member of the InTrendsik Promotions Company, Sertese Bell, patrons are in for a totally new experience. "Two experiences will be at one venue. Catherine Hall (Entertainment Centre) will be divided into two sections. The area close to the beach normally used for parking will be transformed into the soca stage and the regular venue will be use for the dancehall event. So the one location will be split into two and we will have two parties taking place at the same time," Bell said.

In2ition will be on October 27. The gates open at 9 p.m.

Bell explained that that the entertainment calendar has been long saturated with the same type of events and InTrendsik Promotions aims to bring a different experience to partygoers. "We came up with the concept because we wanted to give people who love live music an experience they have never had before. So hosting two parties simultaneously with two different genres under the umbrella of In2ition is definitely something they have never seen before," Bell said.

In2ition will also feature performances from entertainers representing each genre. For dancehall lovers, patrons will have the opportunity to be entertained by Lady Saw, I-Octane, Konshens, Tommy Lee, Aidonia, Jahvinci, Demarco, Cubanis, Seanizzle and Jr Daine. On the soca side of things revellers will see Machel Montano, Destra, Patrice Roberts, Lil Rick, Shal Marshall, Farmer Nappy and Super Jigga.

The promoter also promised three levels of excitement for patrons: regular, VIP and V-VIP. Regular patrons will be admitted to In2ition for $5,000 presold and $5,500 at the gate. They will also be required to pay an additional $1,000 for free assigned parking. VIP will cost $8,500 presold and $9,000 at the gate, and V-VIP costs $11,500 presold and $13,000 at the gate. Free assigned parking is included in both VIP packages.

Patrons needing accommodation will benefit from reduced fees, courtesy of Riu Hotels in Montego Bay. Bell said that patrons holding an In2ition ticket should bring it to the hotel as proof and they will be granted a discount.

In terms of parking security, Bell said, "We will have adequate security and police personnel in and around the venue and parking lot. The parking lots are well lit and no weapons will be allowed."
In2ition is sponsored by Riu Hotel, Paymaster, Knutsford Express, Budget Car Rental, Hype TV, ZIP 103 FM, Irie FM, Pure Country and Sunset Beach resorts, among other organisations.

"Come to In2ition if you want to experience something you've never seen before. It's going to be a premium experience, from bar service to actual party," Bell invited.
