The writings were on the wall that heavy rains would have spoiled any proceedings but the community showed their love to the often called 'country boy', who has never failed to highlight his parish.
The event also got tremendous support from Charly Black's fellow dancehall mates with artistes like D'Angel, Khago, Twin of Twins, Stacious and Tanto Blacks, all giving the energy-filled crowd a fantastic showing.
Music was provided by Killamanjaro, Love Line, Screaming Target and the Hitz Squad, which includes broadcaster Izahbing, DJ Tropical and Crawba Genius.
There were no dull moments throughout the event. Patrons had a blast, artistes gave it their best and the music was consistently at a high quality. "This was my way of saying to Trelawny, thanks for the support over the years," Charly Black said.
Early threats
D 'Angel entered the stage to loud uproars and she never disappoint. Songs like My Life, featuring her ex-husband Beenie Man, Stronger, Downtown Girl and Bus Stop all struck the right chord with the patrons.
But the real excitement came when Charly Black went onstage and began his lyrical onslaught on to an already vulnerable audience. He performed No New Fren, Trelawny Citizen, Rich Dis Year, Wine Up and Agony.
